Disposable Cages: Economics
The Innovive Disposable Rodent Caging System offers the most compelling value proposition for housing your rodents in the market today. We have worked extensively with our customers to understand the unique challenges and processes each research facility manager faces.
The Innovive System reduces the total cost of housing animals over a facility's lifetime.
Our customers benefit from a more variable cost structure - the greater cost flexibility results in ongoing and future savings.
TOTAL COST savings can be broken down into TWO MAIN CATEGORIES:
1. CAPITAL COSTS:
The reduction in capital costs is a direct result of implementing a no-wash Innovive Disposable IVC System in your animal housing operations.
The Innovive Disposable Rodent Caging System eliminates capital expenditures on cage wash equipment and related construction.
On average, an Innovive Disposable IVC project saves hundreds of thousands of dollars for an
average size facility - and millions of dollars when it comes to construction or renovation of larger facilities.
In 2009, an Innovive customer estimated their savings on the construction of a no-washroom 11,000-cage
mouse research facility to be $5,000,000 as a direct result of adopting the Innovive Disposable Rodent Caging System.

2. OPERATING COSTS:
The Innovive Disposable Caging System eliminates all of the costs associated with washing and sterilizing cages- labor, energy use, water consumption, and washing supplies, including the cost of the washroom HVAC, which can be upwards of 30% of a vivarium's total utility bill.
Our customers have reported as much as 70% savings in labor cost and 90% reduction in water consumption.
