Emergency Planning
The Innovive System provides a cost-effective and reliable emergency animal housing solution that can be deployed quickly and effectively in the event of a natural disaster or equipment breakdown.
There are two major emergency scenarios that vivarium managers must be prepared to face- equipment failure and natural disaster.
EMERGENCY SCENARIO 1
EQUIPMENT FAILURE
When washroom equipment fails, dirty rodent cages can quickly back-up into staging areas and hallways, which leads to increased risk of cross-contamination. Generally, it take days, if not weeks, to resolve an equipment failure -this leaves very few alternatives to research facilities that don't have enough clean cages in storage to keep up with cage change schedules.EMERGENCY SCENARIO 2
NATURAL DISASTER
