Disposable Caging: Ergonomics
Innovive Disposable Rodent Cages provide a number of ergonomic benefits to vivarium employees, such as lowering allergen exposure and reducing the risk of repetitive strain injuries.
1. IMPROVED HEALTH
- Innovive products are designed to MINIMIZE ALLERGEN EXPOSURE and REPETITIVE STRAIN INJURIES
- Dual HEPA filters in Innovive IVC racks protect employees from dander and dust particles.
- Airtight seal in Innovive disposable cages prevent leakage of non-filtered particles into animal rooms.
- We offer the LIGHTEST CAGES IN THE INDUSTRY: a fully set-up Innocage® Mouse weighs only 12oz, which is 5 times lighter than the next cage in the industry.
Innovive ultralight rodent cages speed up cage changeout times and significantly reduce the physical strain of working with rodent cages. - Innovive lightweight IVC racks are equipped with casters that allow them to be moved and repositioned easily.
2. WASHROOM HAZARDS - eliminated
Cagewash operations are typically one of the highest grievance, turnover and absenteeism positions in research institutions. Washroom working conditions continue to be one of the major causes of ergonomic injuries and allergen exposure that plague the industry. This results in health problems and, consequently, significant spending on healthcare and HR.The Innovive Disposable Caging System provides you with a no-cage wash operation that eliminates hazards and injuries associated with washroom activities.
3. IMPROVED STAFF MORALE
Cagewash personnel can be re-deployed to other less physically demanding jobs.Re-assigning personnel out of the washroom area allows facilities to increase value-added activities, such as animal care.
4. REDUCE MANAGERS' WORKLOAD
The Innovive System eliminates the most egregious tasks associated with animal husbandry. Managers will have an easier time dealing with more satisfied staff and a more stable workforce. Additionally, research facilities will see long-term benefits, such as reduction in worker compensation claims and litigations due to work related injuries.
